The National Bank Lounge, Montreal airport, also known as the National Bank World Mastercard Lounge, is a premium lounge at the Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL), Canada. 

Location: 

The National Bank Lounge is situated near Gate 53 in the departures area of the YUL airport, providing a convenient space for eligible passengers to relax and unwind before their flights.

Opening Hours:

The National Bank Lounge, Montreal airport has an extensive operating hour. Opening at 4 am and closing at 10 pm, this lounge caters to travelers with early morning departures or late evening arrivals, ensuring everyone can enjoy its amenities regardless of their flight schedule.

Access: 

As a Qatar Airways Qsuite passenger flying from Montreal to Doha, I was granted access to this lounge being the lounge that Qatar Airways contracted with. Though, access to the lounge is typically reserved for specific categories of passengers, such as National Bank World Mastercard holders, Business Class or First Class travelers on certain airlines, and members of certain lounge access programs like Priority Pass.

Being the only feasible lounge at YUL, The National Bank Lounge stands out as a haven amidst the airport’s bustling environment. Upon entering, I was greeted by a busy, yet serene ambiance, with stylish decor and ample seating options. 

Amenities: 

One of the highlights of The National Bank Lounge, Montreal was undoubtedly the availability of numerous comfortable seats. Whether you prefer plush armchairs, cozy sofas, or ergonomic seating options, the lounge had it all. This ensured that finding a place to relax and unwind was never a challenge, even during peak hours.

A unique feature that caught my attention was the presence of robot dish collectors. These automated helpers efficiently navigated the lounge, swiftly collecting used dishes and ensuring the space remained clean and tidy. It was a testament to the lounge’s commitment to providing exceptional service and convenience to its guests.

The lounge also features a kid’s room where little travelers can spend time while playing with one of the available toys or watching TV.

Food and Beverage: 

While the food and beverage service at The National Bank Lounge may not have reached the gourmet standards set by Qatar Airways lounges, there were still ample options available to satiate hunger. The lounge provided a decent selection of snacks, light bites, and beverages, ensuring that guests had something to nibble on or drink during their stay. While it may not have been a culinary extravaganza, it certainly served its purpose.

Although the food and beverage service fell slightly short of expectations, The National Bank Lounge compensated for it with other amenities. 

In Conclusion:

Although the food and beverage service at The National Bank Lounge didn’t quite meet the elevated standards set by Qatar Airways lounges, the lounge compensated for it by offering an abundance of comfortable seating options, each equipped with easily accessible power outlets. 

These amenities, coupled with a well-maintained environment and attentive staff, make The National Bank Lounge a solid choice for a comfortable and relaxing experience during your layovers at YUL, Montreal airport.
