THE EMIRATES FIRST CLASS LOUNGE – DUBAI
After a 14 and a half hours flight from Houston to Dubai, I was on 8 hours layover before my connecting flight to Mauritius. The departure gate for my next flight out of Dubai has not been assigned at this time so i decided to use the concourse A First-Class Lounge. You can read more about my $20,000 Emirates First Class Experience here.
Having a connecting flight in Dubai means that you have to pass through security again. The signage to the lounge was clearly marked, and there were multiple signs pointing to where the lounges and boarding gates are located.
The Emirates Lounge is absolutely massive and it’s quite easier to get lost in the lounge, but thankfully there were signs and maps in and around the lounge to show you where different amenities are located.
Since I had just landed from a long-haul flight, I decided to stop by at the spa for a back and shoulder massage first before exploring other areas of the lounge. As a First-Class passenger, you are entitled to a 15-minute complimentary treatment at the spa.
Though the 15-minutes massage was short, but it was very rejuvenating and relaxing. After the massage I felt a bit sleepy, and since I didn’t get enough sleep during my previous almost 15 hours flight, I decided to just catch a quick nap and then explore the rest of the lounge after that. I headed to the quiet room for a power nap.
I must say that having bottles of water available inside the quiet room was a nice touch from Emirates Airlines.
After about 2 hours into the nap, my alarms went off and I had to reluctantly get up after snoozing for 3 times.
There is a Children’s Playroom, which throughout my entire stay at this lounge there was no single child playing in there.
There are multiple and all sorts of seating areas around the lounge. Both sides of the lounge seem like a mirror of each other.

Emirates Business Class Review
You know you’re in for a treat when it comes to dining on Emirates. At the Emirates First Class Lounge, there is something to satisfy everyone’s appetite. Whether it’s Japanese, Mediterranean, International, Buffet, A la Carte / Fine Dining, Deserts & Cheese, you name it.
You’ll find red roses on each of the dining table, which I think is another nice touch from Emirates.
Having walked the entire one side of the lounge, I decided to relax a little bit in the Mediterranean section of the lounge. Since I had so much to eat during my First-Class flight from Houston to Dubai, I was not hungry at all while at the lounge. But I decided to have a drink, so I ordered the Berry smoothie which was paired with some warm nuts.
Emirates doesn’t disappoint when it comes to alcoholic drinks. At different parts of the lounge, you’ll find premium liquors. And while I was still admiring the lounge, a young man approached me and offered to clean my shoes for me.
And if you’re a smoker, the lounge also has a smoking area for you.
There was Arabic Coffee and Dates provided in the lounge, just like you’ll find it during your First-Class flights.
Although my flight to Mauritius did not board from the lounge, since the flight eventually departed out of Concourse C. But if you’re departing from the A Gates, you can board directly from the lounge.
