One of the best things that American Airlines has done on its’ airport lounges is having them spread across many terminals. The presence of admirals club in each terminal at Dallas Fort-Worth (DFW) International Airport provides a level of comfort to patrons since no too much walk is required once you get passed security.
Located between Gates C19 and C20 with opening hours from 5:00am to 8:45pm, this American Airlines Terminal C lounge is one of the yet to be upgraded lounge.
Like many other AA lounges, club reps are usually on the concourse level to check you in, after which you can then use the elevator or stairs to the lounge which is located on the upper / mezzanine level. And usually, there are more club reps upstairs in the lounge that can help you with any travel related request. This was a review during COVID-19, and some amenities were temporarily unavailable.
The dimly lit lobby on the concourse level is cozy, yet well decorated with handcrafted wall decors.
The airy space on the upper level feels welcoming, plus there were staff standing at different posts with warm smiles behind their masks.

With not too many people in the lounge at about 8:00am when I arrived, there seem to be plenty of seats where one can get comfy before or after a flight. There are multiple seating areas, with side tables around them. Unlike the newly upgraded admirals club, most of these seats at this lounge do not have power outlets nor USB ports.
During this global pandemic of corona virus, I have spent multiple times at various American Airlines Admirals Club and gotten familiar with their modus operandi. Usually a club rep walks you to a seat, notify you of what amenities are available and unavailable, either takes your order or advise you to pick up a snack bar at the bar where you can also request for a beverage. All self-serve amenities have been discontinued till further notice.
There’s a TV lounge where you can catch up on news as you get a quick bite or sip on some favorite drinks.
While there are no views of the runway or apron possible from this lounge, there are some loungers for you to sit back and relax.
And if you have plenty of time to spend at the lounge and feeling a bit sleepy, there’s a quiet / relaxation zone for just that.
For access to the Admirals Club, check out our previous post on Admirals Club Membership for $100.
There’s a Kid’s Room and a Conference Room at this lounge which were not available during my visit. One of the things I like at the DFW Admirals Club Terminal C was the Business Center. You can either utilize any of the provided workstations, or setup your own computer in one of the empty cubicles.
I had a quick stop at the men’s lounge (restroom) during my visit and it was very clean and well maintained.
This was a good lounge for a quick stop before or after a flight. The lounge is kept in a great shape, and the staff was polite. I look forward to coming back here for an updated review when everything is back to the normal we’re used to.
