Changi International Airport in Singapore has long been renowned as one of the best airports in the world, and my visit to the SilverKris Lounge Changi Airport, Singapore only reaffirmed this reputation. Stepping into the Terminal 3, I was greeted with a seamless and efficient check-in process as the airport staff were friendly and helpful, making my baggage drop-off a breeze. This was a totally different experience compared to the last time I flew out of this airport when we flew The Longest Flight in the World from Singapore to New York just as travel restrictions were beginning to ease up due to the pandemic.

Location:
The SilverKris Lounge is conveniently located within Terminal 3, providing easy access for eligible passengers departing from this terminal. The lounge is also located next to other lounges like the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, which is accessible to Star Alliance Gold elites, and SATS Premier Lounge.
Access Policy:
As an airline-operated lounge, the SilverKris Lounge Changi Airport, Singapore is primarily reserved for Singapore Airlines’ Suite, First Class, Business Class, and PPS Club passengers. The lounge also extends access to codeshare flight passengers, further expanding its reach. The access policy is efficiently enforced by the staff, ensuring a pleasant and exclusive experience for eligible guests.

Sitting Area:
The lounge features comfortable seating options with pretty much something for every kind of travelers.
Plush sofas and armchairs were strategically placed, providing both privacy and social settings, depending on passengers’ preferences. The seating area offered a serene environment, making it an ideal spot to catch up on some work or simply unwind before the upcoming journey.

Dining Areas:
The dining area of The SilverKris Lounge was equally impressive. Elegant tables with ample seating were arranged to accommodate various group sizes. The modern design and impeccable cleanliness added to the overall appeal of the space. I appreciated the option to enjoy a meal or a quick snack before my flight, making the lounge experience all the more enjoyable.
Amenities:
While there wasn’t anything special about the lounge, in my opinion, I think it’s fair to say that the lounge went above and beyond to cater to the diverse needs of its guests. For those seeking some rest before their flight, there was a designated sleeping/quiet area with comfortable daybeds.
Traveling with kids? No problem! The “Play Area” was thoughtfully designed to keep young travelers entertained, providing a much-needed respite for parents.
Food & Beverage:
The food and beverage offerings at The SilverKris Lounge were more than okay before a flight. The buffet-style spread featured an array of delectable dishes, ranging from local Singaporean delicacies to international favorites. The beverage selection was equally impressive, with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available to suit different tastes.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge offers a comfortable and stylish space for travelers to relax and unwind before their flights. The lounge boasts chic and comfortable seating areas, along with day loungers in the quiet and sleep area, providing passengers with a variety of options to rest and rejuvenate.
However, it is worth noting that despite its amenities and ambiance, the lounge falls short in comparison to the grandeur and opulence of other business class lounges like the Qatar Airways Al Mourjan Lounge in Doha or the Emirates Business Class Lounge in Dubai. While the SilverKris Lounge certainly offers a pleasant experience, it lacks the same level of extravagance and luxurious amenities of a world-class business class lounge.
