Review of Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World
by Kayode
Las Vegas is one of those few cities in the world where no matter how many times you’ve been there, each time always feel like the first time. We took another trip to Las Vegas and this time, we decided to check out the newly built Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World.
Opened in June 2021 in the middle of the pandemic, the Resorts World Las Vegas housed three hotels operating under the Hilton’s umbrella. The Crockfords Hotel Las Vegas, Las Vegas Hilton Hotel, as well as The Conrad Las Vegas that we’re reviewing.
We booked a night stay on American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts using our hotel credit from 2021, and another two nights stay using our hotel credit for 2022. The plan was for us to spend 3 nights at this hotel, but unfortunately that 3 nights later became one night. More on that in a moment.
Checking in wasn’t that eventful but was prompt. My wife was somehow appreciated for her Hilton Honors Diamond status, and we were given 2 bottles of water for that. I still don’t get why Hilton hotels always handover these water bottles to the guests during check-in instead of having the bottled water waiting in the room. Though our check-in experience was a breeze, we heard from some of the guests that had checked in a day earlier that there were long lines, and it took some of them hours before they were able to check in.
After paying the daily $45 plus tax Rip-off (Resort) Fee with our Amex Platinum Card, we learnt that there was no useful benefit from the list of services covered by the resort fee. But since this was an Amex FHR booking, we received a $125 Food & Beverage credits, $60 breakfast credits, and additional $50 credits for being Hilton Honors elites.
While the room looked cozy and modern, we found just too many hairs on both the bed and the bathroom. We called the front desk, and we were offered a different room in a different floor.

Just maybe we paid too much attention to detail, which I don’t see as a bad thing. The new room wasn’t better than the one we just moved from, and at this point, we just decided to remove the hair personally. Though luggage assistant offered to request for a new room again, but who has time to be moved to a third room within the first hour of checking in to a luxury hotel?
Though minibar items can be ridiculously expensive in Vegas, we appreciated the fact that they were available in the room. Just in case. We woke up thirsty in the middle of the night and had to grab one of the bottles of Fiji water which we later found out cost $22. Unbelievable!!! But thank goodness the front desk attendant was kind enough to have waived the cost of the bottled water during checkout.
We had the Las Vegas Strip and the Resort View which is one of the preferred views from the hotel room. Though this wasn’t the best view in my opinion, but it was good enough.

Most rooms at the Conrad Las Vegas do not have bathtubs like you’ll see at many other Las Vegas resorts. Our bathroom featured a walk-in shower, double vanity sink, hair dryer, and Byredo bath products.
We decided to have dinner just a few hours after settling in at the hotel. Looking at the FHR paper that listed where we can and cannot use our $125 food & beverage credits, we were quite disappointed to see that almost all the good restaurants at the resorts were excluded.
We headed to Brezza (an Italian restaurant at the Resorts World) regardless. While the food was good, the services received from our server was top-notch.

The Wi-Fi speed was good enough to get work done and can even stream a 4k video. Booking an FHR rate means that we got $5 back in credits for the internet as. Though the process of connecting to the Wi-Fi wasn’t “frustration free”.
One of our worst experiences during our stay was the so called “smart tv casting ability” which seem to be the only “usable” service covered by the resort fee. Why have a streaming process that makes life difficult for your guest? Take this from me as an IT Specialist, technology is supposed to work for you, not against you. There’s a reason why many other previous guests didn’t have anything good to say about this. Simply put, it just doesn’t work. The streaming ability at this hotel is nothing but a total failure.
This, amongst many other hiccups we experienced at the hotel within the first few hours made us to cut our stay here short. We later booked another hotel we had reviewed in the past. Delano Las Vegas
In conclusion, another thing I would like to point out is the fact that there’s no cordless phone in the room. This would be understandable for a hotel built in the nineties, but for a hotel that is barely 8 months old, come on now Conrad.
But it’s not all things negatives about the Conrad Las Vegas. This is a hotel surrounded with dozens of restaurants and things to do. The ground is beautiful inside out, and most of the staff members that we encountered were pleasant to deal with.
The room provided good natural lighting and the modern feel of it was quite welcoming. The bed also was comfy, and the linens were heavenly.
But for us, the Cons overweighted the Pros, and from what we experienced within the first few hours of arrival, we concluded that this hotel is currently not living up to that standard in which the Conrad brand is known for. We had to shorten our 3-nights stay into a one-night stay. It was just a bit too much for us to overlook.
And I must say it kind of makes sense seeing many of those horrible reviews about this property, and to make matters worse, the room rate kept dropping even for a last-minute booking. As a matter of fact, last minute booking was about $30 cheaper than what we paid for the same room we had booked 2 months before arrival. I guess that says it all.
Fortunately for us, the hotel waived the $45 resort fee, and also didn’t charge us for the dinner we had.
What is your take on this? And if you have recently stayed at the Conrad Las Vegas, we’d love to hear your experience

I hope they take a look at your blog post as well as other reviews so they can improve. Conrad needs to maintain that high standards it’s known for.
We hope so too. Thanks for reading
