The Ritz Carlton Hotel has been one of the most sought-after hotel brands of the world. Realistically speaking, this brand under the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, sets a level of standard and service that is considered to be nothing but top-notch.
Situated just a few minutes outside of Washington D.C., The Ritz Carlton Pentagon City is located in a perfect location for guests visiting Arlington, VA or Washington, DC itself. Being able to explore the best of DC is made possible with the Metro Pentagon city Station located right in front of the hotel. Other attractions like Pentagon Row, Fashion Center, and The Pentagon itself are all within a walking distance of the hotel.

Seeing a Ritz Carlton property going for $159 per night was a deal I couldn’t pass by. Having spent a few weeks in New York metro area, I decided to give my getaway a getaway.
With no one in line upon arrival, checking in was smooth and quick. Though I was not upgraded to a suite like my stay at The Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne, but I was assigned an enhanced room on the Club Lounge floor. The club lounge which has been closed since the beginning of COVID-19.
Since this was a stay during Covid, the property stationed hand sanitizer stations all across the hotel, and face mask was also mandatory for almost all guests.

The room was well-appointed and featured a touch of both classically inspired and modern amenities. The Ritz Carlton bed and the 400-thread-count Frette duvet and linens guaranteed a good night sleep.
This Club Lounge guestroom featured Italian marble bathtub, a Ritz Carlton branded bathrobe, luxurious Asprey London amenities, a single vanity and a lighted makeup mirror. A bio-bidet is also affixed to the toilet for those that requires it. As it is with many Ritz Carlton properties in North America, the shower/bathtub combination in this bathroom was like that of a standard Marriott Hotel room.
The fitness center is located on the third floor, and it’s worth noting that the elevator opens up directly into the gym which is quite nice. To be able to control social distancing and capacity restrictions due to Covid-19, a front desk staff has to activate the elevator for you on the first floor in order to be able to access the 3rd floor where the gym is located.

Everything felt normal here during my stay. With a small party and several events going on at the hotel, In-Room Dining, fully stocked Mini Bar, Housekeeping and Room Service available, and so much more. All of these were being done while still observing social distancing and other guidelines regarding COVID-19. I gave kudos to the hotel on this one.
I love the fact that QR code was on the table in the room which you can scan with your phone to access the restaurant’s menu. This then refer you to taptastego.com which from the look of the app/website looks like a Marriott owned concept.
I decided to have breakfast in my room the next morning and I must say the breakfast was quite tasty. And since my Marriott Titanium status doesn’t get me complimentary breakfast at Ritz Carlton hotels, spending $61 on breakfast at Ritz doesn’t sound a bit too high. Or does it? Especially since a $5 delivery fee, local tax, and 20% gratuity applies to all room service.
Really enjoyed your breakdown on the hotel! Any final thoughts on whether or not you will revisit or recommend?
Hi Abigail,
Thanks for reading. I definitely would love to revisit the hotel once more when everything is back to normal. Highly recommended
